Cult 45

This month I will begin recording my new blues rock project, "Cult 45". The generous and multi-talented Dan Dubordieu will be assisting with arrangements and recording!

I've already laid down basic tracks for the songs Slo-Mo Mojo, Rockbottom, Someone, At The End, and Colt 45. I'm excited to start moving into this project. I've been working on the Howie Gondu album for about a year. Now that it is in the final countdown I'm ready to begin a new year, so to speak.

There are a few live cuts and demos of the "Cult 45" section of the Music page. As for Howie Gondu, he now has his own website at http://www.howiegondu.com. Give him a visit and check out tracks from "Sweet Nothing" - I have been digging on the songs Tart, That's How It Goes, Shugabeat, and Molasses, the most.

I have uploaded a few new tracks for "Sweet Nothing". There's some really nice flute on some of these new tracks. I have really been getting back into playing the flute a LOT. There are only four songs left to finish and then it'll be time for a release party...!

Sweets to the Sweet

Dear Friends,

I have been having a great deal of fun lately, playing with Sony Acid Music Studio. I've been building loops and playing flute over them. I have also been writing some rap.

Anyway, hit the music page for a sample... a demo called, 'Sweets to the Sweet,' from a collection of such pieces that I'm calling 'Sweet Nothing.'

I've also added a demo of a song from my work-in-progress 'Cult 45.' A sweet little ditty called "Someone."

Last week I joined the ranks of ReverbNation, a music application linked to Facebook. You can check me out at http://www.reverbnation.com/sethasa.

ReverbNation maintains a series of ranking charts for each genre: 1) Local by Genre, 2) Global by Genre, and 3) Global for All Genres. I chose to place myself in the "Folk" genre, figuring that was closest to my sound.

I began my ReverbNation chart escapade at: 1) 15th, 2) 8615, 3) 267770.

As of today, my ranks are: 1) 1st, 2) 1653, 3) 32444

That's right - in only one week I have moved to the #1 position on the Boise Folk Chart!
