Hey My People began as an absurdist game, wherein one forms a band based on a random Google search. The band turned out to be Timo Aker, Kyle Daniel Barrow, and Julie Duz Ritchie. Chris later came in for some drum tracks. A short documentary, "The Rise and Fall of Hey My People," was never released. The band Hey My People produced a half-dozen songs. The song Hey My People was to become their anthem.
